  • September current account surplus for fifth consecutive month...'recessionary' limits remain (Summary) Korea's current account surplus in September was $5.42 billion, the fifth consecutive month of surplus. The deficit in the services balance widened from last month, but it was influenced by the improvement in the goods balance as passenger car exports continued to be strong, mainly to the United States and the European Union, and semiconductors showed signs of recovery.
