India and China have experienced historical and political conflicts for a long time, from ancient times to the present. Mainly, territorial disputes between the two countries led to the Sino-Indian War of 1962 and a violent conflict in 1967. This resulted in the death of around 500 people. Even in 2022, there were no casualties. However, the conflict incidents suggested that the rift between the two countries is still profound.

In this context, China has provoked India again by producing a controversial animation in which their fighter jet shoots down an Indian fighter jet. This influence appears to stem from the fact that India, Australia, and Japan act as a restraint on China. They also served as allies of the United States. Let’s look into this in more detail.

Fighter Jet Battle Footage
China Wins in the End

The animation shows China’s J-11 fighter jet battles with India’s Mirage 2000. The battle in the Himalayas, close to Arunachal Pradesh, where the border disputes between the two countries are happening, makes it even more significant.

In the footage, the J-11 chasing the Mirage fires a missile. The Mirage attempts to evade by deploying flares but ultimately succumbs to enemy fire. The controversy is poised to intensify because the footage assumes a scenario in which the Indian Air Force launches a preemptive attack against China.

Agreement to Not Use Guns
K-9 as a Card Against China

The two countries have agreed not to use guns due to the fear that the border dispute could lead to another war. Thus, conflicts similar to brawls using cold weapons like swords and bows or tools like shovels, hammers, and clubs are common in the Arunachal Pradesh region.

India is also known for purchasing K-9 self-propelled guns from South Korea. They have deployed these purchased K-9s in the border dispute area with China to prevent the intrusion of the Chinese army in case of emergencies.
