Tesla Initiates Massive Recall Due to Autopilot Software Errors

Tesla is conducting a significant recall (voluntary corrective action) in the country. This recall is related to errors in the Autopilot software found in all Tesla models, and it targets around 66,000 Tesla vehicles imported and sold domestically.

Genesis G80 and Other Models Also Subject to Recall

Manufacturing defects have been found in 13 models, including Hyundai’s luxury brand Genesis’s G80, Kia, Ford, Nissan, and Honda. As a result, a total of 72,674 vehicles will commence voluntary corrective actions.

The Error in Tesla’s Autopilot

According to data released by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport, errors in the Autopilot software have been found in 63,991 vehicles, including the Tesla Model Y. Autopilot is a representative semi-autonomous driving technology of Tesla, which allows the vehicle to automatically adjust its speed and stop.
