Tesla’s New FSD Version: Leap Forward in Autonomous Driving

Tesla unveils a new, enhanced version of FSD
with rapid updates recently

Tesla has rolled out its new FSD V12.3.4. FSD, an acronym for Full Self-Driving Capability, represents the highest level of autonomous driving the Tesla brand offers. It supports most of the features necessary for driving, such as automatic parking, lane changes, recognition of signals and stop signs, and autonomous driving on highways and in cities.

Although Tesla’s autonomous driving capabilities have been highly rated in the industry, they have continuously faced skepticism regarding autopilot accidents and the safety of autonomous driving. However, the newly introduced version of FSD has been praised for its excellent driving ability among testers.

Smooth acceleration and deceleration
Sign recognition also improved.

Tesla has recently caught people’s attention by showing a stable version of their updated autonomous driving system. The new Model 3 Highland was the first to apply the test beta version, and some users have recorded and released scenes of autonomous driving.

It recognized lanes and demonstrated stability with smooth acceleration, deceleration, and stopping. It was capable of smooth driving even at high speeds. In particular, the recognition of stop signs was superior to previous versions. It could recognize signs from a distance and decelerate slowly for a smooth stop.

Automatic parking features are also refined.
Possible in a short time

It also demonstrated accurate movements in areas where the steering wheel must be operated, such as sharp corners and left or right turns. Although it is still a beta version and needs more improvements, Tesla’s autonomous driving level is being evaluated as significantly improving. Recently, Tesla has been providing rapid updates to FSD and continuing to make improvements.

Tesla has also recently unveiled an automatic parking feature. It can find an empty parking space on its own, recognize the space, and adjust the angle for parking. The vehicle’s movement, parking space, and travel path are displayed in real-time on the display, allowing the driver to intuitively understand the situation without paying extra attention.

There is still room for improvement
Confident Tesla

The parking speed was also practical, taking around 20 seconds. However, many problems remain. Accidents occurring while using FSD have been steadily reported, indicating that continuous improvements are needed.

The FSD V12.3.4 update is being carried out in the United States, with priority support for the new Model 3, Model S, and Model X. The V12 update will be rolled out to older and other models sequentially. Tesla has recently offered American consumers the chance to try FSD for free for a month as a sign of confidence in FSD. With the unveiling of the autonomous vehicle, the Robo-Taxi, Tesla’s autonomous driving features are expected to face a real test in August.
