BMW recently announced that it plans to introduce the high-performance M3 based on the Neue Klasse, which is attracting attention as a next-generation electric vehicle platform. The newly developed M3 electric vehicle will have quad motors and produce 1,341 horsepower.

The push for electrification is expected to accelerate with the introduction of next-generation electric vehicles, and there is significant interest in the M3 electric vehicle model that BMW plans to unveil. The concept design based on the Neue Klasse is exceptionally intriguing and has garnered mixed consumer reactions. As a result, there is keen anticipation surrounding the design of the M3.

Retains Wing-Shaped Grille
Differentiates with Grille Pattern Change

Among these, the American online automobile media outlet Motor1 recently unveiled a rendering of the M3 electric vehicle, making it a hot topic. Based on the previously unveiled Neue Klasse, it was modified to fit the mass-produced model, and unique design points representing a high-performance model were added. Let’s take a look at the detailed rendering of the M3 electric version.

The change in the grille stands out at the front. The existing horizontally extending wing shape remains the same, but some details have been modified. Unlike the diagonal pattern applied to the existing grille, three horizontal lines are used—the headlamp box in contact with the grille features diagonal DRLs.

The headlamp box also underwent changes
Front lip with high-performance sensibility

This is the same part as the concept based on Neue Klasse, but the shape of the lamp box has been modified to be more realistic. During this process, the shape of the headlamp box and grille became somewhat clunky, but it looks more realistic than the concept model. At the bottom of the front, changes to emphasize high performance are noticeable.

At the bottom, the protruding front lip and angled bumper details add to the aggressive look. The side of the bumper protrudes in the same way as the concept based on Neue Klasse, and the sporty appearance is emphasized through the lower bumper grille and angled lines. The lower bumper grille uses the same horizontal pattern as the upper grille.

The Design is the Worst

The area of the tail lamp was reduced at the rear, and the change was achieved through a protruding rear part. In the case of the tailgate, the angled trapezoid continues the same angular design as the front. In the concept based on Neue Klasse, the shape of the protruding lower diffuser was refined so that it flows smoothly with the vehicle body lines.

A car for the very few. !000+ HP?? Wasted R & D. Shouldn't it have to, at least have some resemblance to a BMW. Different, yes, but without the savoir faire of a true BMW. Twelve years loyal owner. Good luck with this. Loyal BMW owner.
