Honda Accord Gets a Sleek, Cyberpunk Makeover: First Look at the Stunning New Design

The Honda Accord, a midsize sedan that has been around for nearly 48 years since its debut in 1976, is set to return with its 11th-generation redesign launching in 2023. The new model aims to attract buyers with its impressive fuel efficiency, thanks to a hybrid powertrain.

With sales of the redesigned Accord starting in early 2023, it will likely be a while before a facelift or further redesign. Despite this, the latest version of the Accord has already sparked a strong reaction online, thanks to its striking design.

The front LED bar stretches across the width, adding a futuristic feel

An overseas virtual rendering designer has released a new design for the Honda Accord, reflecting the designer’s rich imagination. The rendering shows the Accord’s changed appearance, emphasizing its aggressive design and the coupe’s sleek lines. A wide LED bar extends along the bonnet’s parting line for the front.

The LED bar is sharply angled in an ㄷ-shape from the side, forming a similar shape to the headlamps of the current Accord. Here, the grille has been removed, and the front has been given an aggressive look with angular lines and volume. The bumper is equipped with a front lip that protrudes toward the front and has an air intake.

The body shape is lower, and the hood is longer, showcasing a sporty look

The redesigned Accord features a lower ground clearance and a lengthened bonnet, giving it a sportier look. The side profile showcases a fastback roofline, typical of coupes, while chrome trim along the roofline adds a touch of luxury. Additionally, removing the B-pillar illuminates the side windows as being seamlessly connected.

The window belt line is higher than before, the glass window is narrower, and wheels with a thin spoke design are applied. The horizontal character line applied below the window belt line flows smoothly into a streamlined shape as it passes over the rear quarter panel. The window belt line also continues to the rear. A hidden-type door handle was applied to ensure that the side of the vehicle body looked smooth.

Better than the designer

For the rear, the same design theme as the front was applied with horizontal tail lamps, creating a futuristic design. The current Accord also has a tail lamp of a similar shape, but by applying it in a line form creates a more sleek and clean feel.
