The Cadillac CT6, a large luxury sedan introduced in 2016, was discontinued in the U.S. market in 2023 due to decreased demand for sedans. This marked the end of its production after just one generation. In line with Cadillac’s shift toward electrification, the Hamtramck plant that previously manufactured the CT6 has been repurposed for electric vehicle production.
The CT6 stood out for its all-wheel-drive (AWD) system built on a rear-wheel-drive platform, distinguishing it from the more common front-wheel-drive sedans in the American market. Despite its unique attributes and luxury appeal, there remains a sense of regret in the U.S. over its discontinuation.

An international virtual rendering designer recently created and released an imaginative drawing of a redesigned CT6, which has captured considerable attention. This conceptual model integrates Cadillac’s latest design elements with a sleek, coupe-like shape.
The rendering features vertical headlamps, drawing inspiration from the Cadillac’s electric Lyriq design and the facelifted Escalade. The headlamp housing is notably slimmer, enhancing the vehicle’s streamlined appearance. Vertical daytime running lights and LED modules are prominently displayed inside the headlamps. At the front, the model showcases Cadillac’s signature large hexagonal grille, reinforcing its distinctive brand identity.

The virtual rendering highlights a luxurious design with a dense horizontal grille pattern and a chrome surround that adds a touch of elegance. The grille slightly protrudes, aligning with the angular front shape, and extends thinly toward the sides along the bonnet’s parting line. The bumper includes a front lip, contributing to a sportier look.
On the side, large wheels and a diagonally positioned air intake enhance the brake calipers’ cooling performance. A smooth horizontal character line along the wheel arch accentuates the sleek front design. The rendering emphasizes luxury with a two-door coupe form and features a B-pillar delete, creating a seamless appearance with continuous glass windows.

The surrendering’s side profiles showcase a fastback roofline that elegantly drops from the gently rising A-pillar to the rear trunk. To further enhance the luxury feel, a thick chrome garnish adorns the side of the C-pillar. The design features a relatively short front and rear overhang despite the traditional long bonnet associated with rear-wheel-drive vehicles.
At the rear, the vehicle is equipped with horizontal taillights and an LED strip that spans the entire width—a chrome garnish crowns the tailgate, adding a touch of sophistication. The rear design combines a somewhat aggressive look with a voluminous tailgate and angular bumper elements. The chrome trim along the side skirts seamlessly connects with the bumper garnish, creating a cohesive and polished appearance.
