Lexus Handmade Supercar LFA
A Rare Model with Only Two in Existence
What Unique Features Does This Vehicle Have?

Reddit

The Lexus LFA supercar is a culmination of the brand’s cutting-edge technology, design, and philosophy. Handcrafted between 2010 and 2012, the LFA remains an iconic symbol of Lexus even more than a decade after its production ended, showcasing the brand’s commitment to precision and performance.

While the LFA is commonly known for being available in traditional Lexus colors like white, silver, and black, that wasn’t the full story. Two particularly rare and special LFAs exist, featuring unique colors. These rare models were recently spotted outside of Japan, drawing attention for their exclusivity and distinctiveness.

A Nearly New Car with About 1,000km Driven
Expected Price Exceeds $750,000

A rare Lexus LFA in “Fresh Green” was recently spotted in the UK. Produced in 2012, this model has an incredibly low mileage of only 1,350 km (839 miles), significantly increasing its value given its age. Also, it is one of just 198 right-hand-drive LFAs ever made, adding to its exclusivity.

The current owner of this green LFA is preparing to sell it, with the price expected to fall between $700,000 and $900,000. However, the final price could be even higher because of its unique exterior color and rarity, making it one of the most sought-after examples of the LFA on the market.

Striking Exterior Color Contrasts with Bold Red Leather Interior

The Lexus LFA’s exterior and interior design are nothing short of stunning. The vehicle’s custom Alcantara leather interior complements its unique exterior color. The door panels, pillars, headliner, and transmission tunnel are all wrapped in bold red leather. At the same time, the seats feature a striking combination of black and red Alcantara, giving the cabin a luxurious yet sporty feel.

In terms of performance, this LFA is on par with its counterparts. A 4.8-liter V10 naturally aspirated engine developed by Yamaha produces 553 horsepower at a high-revving 8,700 RPM. Paired with a 6-speed single-clutch transmission, the LFA accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.7 seconds and reaches a top speed of 325 km/h (202 mph), maintaining its status as one of the most thrilling supercars ever produced.

LFA, which was a hot topic at the time of its launch, also has high expectations for its successor model

When the LFA was first launched, its price was about $250,000. This may have been an absurd price compared to Italian supercars such as Lamborghini and Ferrari. Despite this, the LFA’s unique combination of cutting-edge technology, meticulous craftsmanship, and the embodiment of Lexus’ design philosophy made it highly sought after, with demand surpassing expectations.

Looking ahead, Lexus is set to release a new electric supercar as the successor to the LFA. It is one of the electric vehicle lineups unveiled in 2021, and the Toyota chairman himself mentioned that it will be the spiritual successor to the LFA. Although specific plans have not been revealed, it is expected to feature a 0-100 km/h(62mph) acceleration time of around 2 seconds and a range of around 700 km(435 miles) on a single charge.
