Subaru’s Iconic Family Car Outback
Unveils Limited Edition Model Before Discontinuation
What Are the Noteworthy Features of This Vehicle?

Subaru

The Subaru brand’s wagon Outback was first sold in the North American market and has been popular for 30 years. The Outback faithfully fulfilled its role as a family car in North America and the Japanese market. Still, it will be discontinued due to low demand and electrification plans.

Ahead of its discontinuation, Subaru has unveiled a model commemorating the 30th anniversary of the Outback. It features some slightly upgraded features and options from the existing model and changes to detailed design elements. Let’s take a closer look at some of the notable aspects.

30th Anniversary Edition, Limited to 500 Units
Exterior and Interior Highlights

The Subaru Outback Legacy 30th Anniversary Edition is a special release marking the vehicle’s three decades of success. The most noticeable changes are in its exterior design. This commemorative model comes standard with 18-inch matte black wheels, and the blacked-out treatment extends to the bumpers, arches, and side skirts, giving the vehicle a sleek and modern look.

Practicality is also at the forefront, with black roof rails added to enhance the Outback’s off-road versatility. A unique 30th-anniversary badge on the front further highlights the significance of this edition. While limited edition models often focus on exterior tweaks, Subaru has also upgraded the Outback’s performance in this version, making it more than just a visual standout.

Enhanced Ride Quality Through Tuning
Elevated Interior Luxury

The Subaru Outback 30th Anniversary Edition takes performance up a notch with STI-tuned SFRD (Sensitive Frequency Response Dampers) for both the front and rear. This setup enhances the ride quality, delivering a smoother and more controlled driving experience, which adds to the premium feel of the vehicle.

Various interior features have also been added. The Harman Kardon audio system with 10 subwoofers and speakers is equipped as standard. The seats are covered in ivory and black Nappa leather with contrasting silver stitching. For a special touch, the door panels have 30th-anniversary stitching.

Lottery System if Demand Exceeds Supply
Possibility of Future Electric Model

For this commemorative model, only 500 units will be produced and sold. Orders will be accepted until November 10, and the unique thing is that buyers will be selected through a lottery if demand exceeds supply. The price of the vehicle has not yet been officially announced.

Meanwhile, Subaru is planning to discontinue production of the Outback’s internal combustion engine model and launch an electric model. The vehicle’s name is e-Outback, and the specific performance and specifications have not been revealed, but they were confirmed through trademark registration records.
