K-pop powerhouse SM Entertainment is preparing for the comeback of its innovative virtual artist, Naevis. The digital sensation is set to release her second single, “Sensitive,” on August 7 at noon, marking her first new track in nearly a year since her debut single, “Done,” was unveiled last September.

Described by SM Entertainment as a pop dance track designed to get fans moving, “Sensitive” features a funk-infused bassline, smooth rhythmic vocals, and a dynamic soundscape that highlights Naevis’s musical evolution. Lyrically, the song explores her emotional journey as she steps from the digital realm into the physical world for the first time.

For those unfamiliar with Naevis, she first emerged as a central figure in the intricate lore surrounding SM’s girl group sensation, aespa. In this narrative, Naevis acts as a digital guardian, supporting both the real-life aespa members and their virtual counterparts, known as ae-aespa, as they navigate between reality and the metaverse.

Fans received an initial preview of “Sensitive” during SM’s star-studded joint concert, “The Culture, The Live,” in January, shortly after Naevis made her live debut performing “Done” during aespa’s second world tour, Synk: Parallel Line, in June 2024.

With this upcoming release, Naevis is set to further blur the boundaries between the virtual and the real in the ever-evolving landscape of K-pop. Stay tuned for what promises to be a pivotal comeback from SM’s digital star.
